Dr. Alana is in network with select Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna plans in Illinois and New York, depending on individual plan eligibility. For patients whose plans are not in network or are out of state, including those seen through PSYPACT participating states, services are provided on an out-of-network basis. Payment is collected at the time of service, and documentation for possible reimbursement through out-of-network benefits can be provided upon request.

A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes all the information your insurance company needs to process an out‑of‑network reimbursement claim — including the diagnosis code, procedure code, session date, and provider credentials. Dr. Alana provides superbills upon request, typically on a monthly basis.

How do I verify my insurance benefits?

The best way is to call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask: "Do I have out‑of‑network mental health benefits? What is my deductible, and how much have I met?
